Two men had warrants executed for their arrest on felony charges Thursday for alleged crimes involving cell phones from their time as inmates at the Floyd County Prison last spring.
Warrants at the Floyd County Jail state Billy Earl Paige, age 48 of Atlanta and Terry Lynn Miller, age 62 of Fitzgerald, were in custody in Floyd County Thursday for their alleged roles with contraband. Police claim Paige was caught with two cell phones back on April 2 and Miller was caught on video trying to hide a cell phone on March 27.
Paige is charged with possession of prohibited items by inmates while Miller is charged with unlawful inmate possession of a telecommunications device.
Floyd County Prison Warden Jeff Chandler tells WRGA that to his knowledge the two cases are unrelated and the men were each brought to Floyd County this week after their terms at other prison facilities were served in full.
