Members of the Rome City Commissioner’s Alcohol Control Committee discussed several ideas on making a major change to the city’s policy on establishments keeping a pouring license for liquor and other spirits, namely the food/drink ratio. Committee chair Jamie Doss said that going the route of changing the ratio may be the path of least resistance for businesses and the commission. However, the committee was unable to hammer down a final decision on what course to take in regards to the alteration of the food/drink ratio. A follow-up discussion will be upcoming at the next city commission meeting.
