Chairman Larry Odom of the Cedartown City Commission has announced the resignation of Charles Akridge as city manager. Charles Akridge who had served as city manager since April of last year was allegedly involved in an unspecified incident in Rome over this past weekend. Odom stated in a press release that he regrets the matter and he wishes Akridge success in the future. The city commission concurred with the resignation.
