Patterson received the honor at the start of a training session this week in Jekyll Island. Presenters specifically mentioned a number of successful cases while doling out the award. Among those cases was the Parker Murder case in which a conviction was obtained without the physical body to use as evidence. And a case involving a child whose valuable testimony came during an interview in which Patterson laid on the floor to interview the child who felt safer under a couch.
