There are some new aquatic inhabitants of the Eco Center including a live catfish aquarium. Outside of the building itself, work on a dry creekbed has begun with the Floyd County Master Gardners overseeing the design. Gardeners say the vegetation will be all plants native to the area, arranged around the creek bed designed to divert run-off from the building and the upper parking lot. The water will then gather at the base of the hill before it is filtered toward the river.
