FINSTER FEST 2013 TO CELEBRATE PARADISE GARDEN REVIVAL PROGRESS
Finster Fest 2013 Festival will be held on June 8-9, 2013 in Summerville, Georgia and will introduce the “Man of Vision After-Show”
The two-day festival will offer a shuttle bus ride to Paradise Garden for special tours, letting visitors see the many improvements of Paradise Garden including the Paradise Garden Museum. This year's festival will be a celebration of the hard work that the Foundation has done to revive Howard Finster’s homeplace known worldwide. According to C. Sutton Connelly, Chairman of the Finster Fest 2013, “the celebration will showcase a wide array of talented artists as well as introduce the “Man of Vision After-Show." Youth racers now have more time to train for the Tri For The Kids Triathlon at Darlington School. Due to the weather, the Tri For The Kids Youth Triathlon has been postponed to Sunday, June 23. Registration has re-opened. The race will follow the Tri For The Shelter Sprint Triathlon on Saturday, June 22 at Rocky Mountain Recreation Area.
Registration is $40 and proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Rome.

Join CRBI, Keep Rome Beautiful and Rome River's E.C.O. Center for this six-mile paddle trip down the Etowah River from Grizzard Park to Heritage Park in Downtown Rome.
This is a free event and complimentary canoes and kayaks are available on a first-to-register-first-serve basis.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. followed by announcements and safety briefing at 10 a.m. Boats should begin launching by 10:30 a.m.
Shuttle service will be provided by CRBI at the end of the trip.
